Ellery Health

For dental practices

Dental benefits are their own problem.

Annual maximums, frequency limits and waiting periods decide what a patient owes, and the answer changes with every visit. Ellery asks before the patient is in the chair.

Why dental verification is its own problem

A medical plan mostly asks one question: is this patient covered today. A dental plan asks four more.

  • The annual maximum. How much the plan pays in a year, and how much of it is already used.
  • Frequency limits. How often the plan pays for a cleaning, a set of X-rays or a crown, and when the last one was.
  • Waiting periods. How long a patient must hold a new plan before major work is covered.
  • Volume. A hygiene column is a patient every hour, and every one of them needs the answer before they sit down.

Ellery shows what the payer returns: whether the plan is active, the deductible, and the plan's limits where the payer sends them. Where the payer says nothing, the result says so. It does not guess.

What a dental front desk gets

  • Coverage checked before the visit. A whole day at once, with the patients who need a call on a list of their own.
  • A calendar for every provider. A column for each dentist and hygienist, visit types with their own lengths, and open times that respect them.
  • Reminders patients answer. A patient confirms, moves or cancels from the link in the reminder, so an empty hygiene hour is known in time to fill it.
  • Payments at the desk. Recorded against the visit, and counted against the drawer at the end of the day.
  • A voice agent on the line. It books the visit while your front desk is with the patient in front of them.

The calendar, with a column for each provider. This sample practice is a medical one; a dental practice names its own providers and visit types. The patients are fictional.

Practice management software

Ellery works beside the practice management software you already run. Your charting, imaging and treatment plans stay where they are.

Tell us which system you use, and we will tell you how Ellery fits beside it.

Common questions

Does Ellery replace our practice management software?

No. It runs the front desk beside it: coverage, the calendar, reminders, payments at the desk and the phone.

Can you check our patients' dental benefits?

Ask us about your payers before you decide. Dental payers differ in how much they return electronically: some send maximums and frequencies, and some send little more than active or not. Tell us your biggest payers and we will tell you what each one returns.

Is it priced differently for a dental practice?

No. The same three plans, per practice. They are on the pricing page.

Do our patients need an app?

No. Reminders arrive by email, and the link in one opens an ordinary web page where the patient confirms, moves or cancels.
